Mike Glover has recently been awarded an RCVS diploma of Fellowship for his thesis on factors associated with the reproductive performance of ewes inseminated laparoscopically.

Mike’s thesis reports the findings of a study that began in 1995 and analysed data on the outcomes of more than 11,000 ewes inseminated by SWSBS in the south west of the UK over 11 consecutive years. It is the largest study of its kind to be based in the UK and Mike hopes the findings will be of benefit to farmers and vets utilising controlled breeding techniques for the genetic improvement of sheep and also to others with an interest in improving the reproductive performance of ewes.
